Antra Roze


Ms. Roze has over 30 years experience in design, development and construction of large, award-winning commercial and mixed-use projects for both private and public sector clients. She has worked in Canada, the U.S. and England on the design of performing arts projects, institutional work, assisted housing, and residential properties.

Major projects include the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit, the Harman Centre for the Arts in Washington, D.C., and the renovation of the Grand Theatre in Kingston, Ontario. She was Project Architect on Corus Quay a LEED Gold broadcasting centre and office on Toronto’s waterfront. She also worked on the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital.

In 2014, Antra completed the $278-million Public Private Partnership for Bridgepoint Health, which includes a 472-bed rehabilitation facility as well as renovation of the historic Don Jail. She managed the firm’s role within a large and complex group of owners, architects, consultants and contractors.

Antra is completing a $96-million mixed-use complex in Buffalo, NY that features a boutique hotel with a conference centre and six floors of executive offices. She is currently transforming an 1,800-seat theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts into two theatres of 560 and 300 seats. Antra is leading the team through the design and construction of innovative interior systems that will animate the theatre when complete.

Antra is LEED-accredited and an active member of the company’s Sustainability Committee. She has served on the Toronto Society of Architects board and is currently a member of the local Latvian Architect’s Association. She believes strongly in the positive outcome of mentorship and enjoys giving presentations to school age kids about the history and current practice of architecture.
