Karel Brozik is an architectural technologist and a certified Contract Administrator. He received his architectural technologist diploma with honours from George Brown College and joined Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2014. He was made Associate in 2016.
With over 20 years’ experience, his in-depth knowledge of materials and methods along with his technical experience provide for comprehensive field services during the course of the construction phase. His knowledge of construction law serves as a critical asset during the execution of the contractual responsibilities by the binding parties to the construction contract.
He has taught and lectured about contract administration and construction documentation at both Humber College and University of Toronto. Karel also mentors in-house intern architectural staff in the field of construction contract administration.
Recent projects include the renovation of Weiser Hall at the University of Michigan; St. Jerome’s University’s academic facility and residence delivered under the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model; The Globe and Mail Centre; and a mixed-use facility in Buffalo, NY, which combines Class A office space, a hotel and hospitality and retail uses.
