Cynthia Carbonneau studied architecture at McGill University in Montreal where she received a Bachelor of Science Architecture degree and a Master of Architecture. Ms. Carbonneau is a registered member of the OAA and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Since joining Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2008, she has distinguished herself in the performing arts portfolio. Her involvement has included key responsibilities on La Maison Symphonique in Montreal, the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St.Catharines, Ontario and the design phase of the New Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia.
In addition to her work in the performing arts sector, Ms. Carbonneau’s experience includes institutional and residential projects. She has worked on The Globe and Mail Centre; the LEED GOLD-certified Hadden Hall Recreational Centre for Lakefield College School; and the Health Science Building for the Santa Fe Community College in New Mexico. Recently, she was a team architect for the Davisville-Balliol residential towers in Toronto.
Ms. Carbonneau is currently a team leader on the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences in Texas. She was made an Associate with the firm in 2016.
