Cecily Eckhardt

BIOGRAPHY

Cecily Eckhardt is a graduate of McGill University.  She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Master of Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a LEED-accredited professional and a member of the Ontario Association of Architects.

Prior to joining Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2008, Cecily practiced architecture in London England, and has worked across a broad range of project types, including residential, performing arts, academic, laboratory and research facilities. Her belief in the potential for good design to facilitate positive social change has inspired her to engage in design outreach programs both at home and abroad.

At Diamond Schmitt, Cecily has contributed to a number of innovative projects, including the LEED Platinum CANMET Materials Technology Laboratory at the McMaster Innovation Park, St Catherine Centre for Performing Arts, Public Health Ontario laboratories at MaRs, the Residence and Culinary Arts School for Centennial College, and the laboratory modernization for Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington.   Cecily was named Associate in 2017.
