Marcin Ludwik Sztaba
Marcin Stzaba received a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University in Halifax and has studied and practiced architecture throughout Europe. He joined Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2008 and was named an Associate in 2016.
Marcin has design experience across a range of building types including residential, performing arts and commercial building projects. In his role as team architect and project manager, he is currently working on the design of The Drake Hotel Annex, an expansion of the popular boutique hotel in Toronto. Previous projects include Balliol Park, a multi-unit residential project; the Patient Care Tower at St. Michael’s Hospital; The Globe and Mail Centre; and Leaside Shopping Centre.
In 2012, he had leading role on the team to design a temporary sculpture installation for Toronto’s Luminato Festival, comprising a 700-foot-long, 20-foot-high ribbon sculpture with nine robotically-controlled 25-foot-high windsocks that were choreographed to live and pre-recorded music.
