Diamond Schmitt is hosting a Passive House Pulse 2024 Social Series event, where Lisa Prime, Director of Sustainability at Diamond Schmitt, and Alex Lukachko, Assistant Professor at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto, will share their expert insights on the key factors that support and hinder the widespread adoption of high-performance buildings, such as Passive House, particularly in the context of Toronto and Canada. 

In “Building the Future: Policy and Challenges in Adopting Passive House Standards,” Lisa and Alex will cover the latest regulatory trends, national frameworks, technical hurdles, best practices, case studies, and strategies for adopting Passive House principles. Attendees will gain insights from real-world examples into how to advocate for policies that support greener, more energy-efficient practices.  

The event will be followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunities with professionals working to drive the future of sustainable architecture in Toronto and beyond.
