The building sets the stage for a culture of interdisciplinary exchange through a sequence of transparent, interconnected areas where art is made and displayed. This neutral canvas provides the backdrop to an ever-changing collaboration among students, faculty and staff in large, light-filled spaces.

From studios, workshops and terraces, the building captures inspiring views of the Vancouver skyline as well as the Coastal Mountains. At ground level, an Arts Plaza connects with an emerging academic and cultural community for which Emily Carr University is positioned to be the welcoming anchor.
