We are pleased to announce that Diamond Schmitt is now a proud participant of the United Nations Global Compact initiative, joining a global network of companies that are committed to the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.
With this announcement, Diamond Schmitt is proud to express the firm’s commitment to aligning its operations and strategies with the UN Global Compact’s ten universally accepted principles—in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption—and engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"In line with our commitment to these principles, Diamond Schmitt is proud to join the UN Global Compact in the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with a focus on advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through architecture," says Lisa Prime, Director of Sustainability at Diamond Schmitt. "It’s exciting to engage with other corporate leaders on measuring real change through our projects."
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies based in over 160 countries, and more than 60 Global Compact Networks.
