Toronto - Today Diamond Schmitt is recognized as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People. This editorial competition, managed by Mediacorp Canada in conjunction with The Globe and Mail, recognizes employers offering the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers. Winners of the competition are chosen by the editorial team at the Canada’s Top Employers project based on the programs and initiatives they offer to attract and retain younger workers.
Our reasons for selection include:
- actively recruiting post-secondary students for paid co-op work terms ranging between four and eight months -- students participate in the collaborative architectural design process with project teams, support detailing and documentation, and prepare 2D, 3D, CAD and Revit drawings
- offering high school students insight into architectural careers by hiring students for co-op terms
