The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) National Awards program recognizes the excellent architectural qualities of new homes, including overall exterior and interior design, use of building forms and materials, creative use of space, functionality of floorplan and overall appeal to a target market.
Waterworks has been named the winner of the Best Mid-to High-rise Building (completed) category which recognizes developments that are four storeys and higher. A hybrid, mixed-use space that rehabilitates, conserves, and expands an industrial heritage site through the integration of diverse programs, Waterworks not only supports the life of its residents, but the greater community and urban experience.
“These awards truly demonstrate the variety of homes that are built and renovated in Canada each year. Whether for rent or ownership, changing life circumstances or needs, the professionals that build and renovate Canadian homes and communities are creating spaces that people want to call home. We are proud of the accomplishments of this year’s winners and finalists,” said CHBA CEO Kevin Lee.
The CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence is Canada’s premier competition for new homes, renovations, community development, and residential marketing. More than 900 entries were submitted this year, making 2024 a record-breaking year for entries and tough choices for the nearly 300 volunteer industry experts from across Canada who selected the finalists and winners.
