As part of the Passive House Canada Conference, Associate Sarah Elliott will lead a tour of Gladstone Village at 75 Oak Street in Ottawa on Wednesday, May 7 from 2:30 to 5pm. 
 
Currently under construction on an 8-acre brownfield site, Gladstone Village is Ottawa Community Housing’s largest affordable housing development and is designed to offer units for a diverse cross-section of Ottawa’s community, while balancing a strict energy budget.

The tour will highlight how the design is meeting Passive House standards and aiming to set new performance benchmarks. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the initial site servicing and parceling of the entire development as well as an in-depth discussion on the development of Phase 1 which should be in its third storey of construction at the time of the tour.
