A Campus Finds Its Heart
Lazaridis Hall is a landmark building on the new St. Michael’s campus at Wilfrid Laurier University. Major moves expressed on the exterior transition seamlessly to the interior guided by the continuation of shape, materials and palette. This inviting gesture heralds the large central atrium, around which a corresponding generosity and variety of spaces are immediately apparent. This public square is bathed in natural light beneath an undulating freeform skylight that reinforces themes of transparency and connectivity to create an engaging space in which to learn.
