Dale McDowell has been engaged in all aspects of design and development work, from design inception through construction administration, during her 20 years with Diamond Schmitt. She is committed to design excellence and buildings that work for the people who occupy them.
Her focus on communication, collaboration and design excellence has contributed to many award-winning projects. Among these are The Globe and Mail Centre, with its rhythmic sequence of cantilevered viewing terraces on all sides of the building; the wood-lined Salvation Army Harbour Light; Bridgepoint Active Healthcare with its adaptive re-use of the historic Don Jail; and the energy-efficient Bahen Centre at University of Toronto.
Dale is the project architect for the Southeast Community Centre that is under construction in Oakville and delivered by Integrated Project Delivery, a highly collaborative procurement method. It is scheduled for completion in June 2020.
