Toronto, ON – David Geffen Hall, The Drake Hotel Modern Wing, Manitou a bi Bii daziigae, and the University of Toronto Schools are among 20 finalists for the Ontario Association of Architect’s (OAA) 2024 Design Excellence Awards.
These four projects were selected out of 100 eligible submissions for contributing to the overall well-being of their communities, and were judged on their creativity, context, sustainability, good design/good business, and legacy. The submissions also reflect the OAA’s dedication to advance climate action in the public’s interest and ensuring sustainable, resilient design remains a critical aspect of every successful project.
The OAA Design Excellence Awards program is presented biennially. It recognizes the innovative skills of Ontario architects in creating spaces, buildings, and communities that respect and enhance the environment and enrich human activity. The 10 winners will be announced early in April.
