Gregory Colucci has close to 30 years experience at Diamond Schmitt Architects, where he has coordinated the design and implementation of numerous large projects, particularly in health care, recreation and resort residential developments overseas. He holds Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Carleton University, where he spent his fourth year of study at the Unité Pédagogique d’Architecture no. 4 in Paris.
Mr. Colucci led the implementation of the firm’s AFP/DBFM scheme for the redevelopment of the multiple award-winning Bridgepoint Health and the repurposing of the Don Jail (1864) as the hospital’s administrative centre. He was project architect for Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, Apotex Centre, Toronto, and Cawthra Community Centre, Mississauga. Other healthcare projects include Planning, Design and Compliance (PDC) services in the redevelopment of Women’s College Hospital; leading the Diamond Schmitt team in developing master plan options for Scarborough Hospital, and Stage 1 submission for the Critical Care Wing at St. Michael’s Hospital.
He led the Diamond Schmitt team in its role on the newly opened Peel Memorial Health Centre in Brampton, as well as architectural design services for a major expansion of Medicine Hat Regional Hospital in Alberta which opens later this year.
