Anne Cheung is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors and Master degree in Architecture. Since joining Diamond Schmitt in 2010, she has contributed to a variety of project types, specializing in large-scale complex projects with a focus on healthcare redevelopment. Dedicated to designing healthcare spaces with operational effectiveness and qualities that uplift the communities they serve, Anne plays a key role in ensuring that programming and space planning align with the overarching design visions of our clients. Adept with various BIM tools, her workflow emphasizes close communication with multi-disciplinary teams in data-driven collaboration platforms, leading teams to produce thoughtful designs of the highest quality.
Her recent work, such as the Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre at Michael Garron Hospital, the LEED Certified Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Redevelopment, Research Project Renovation at St. Michael’s Hospital, and the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and Library, reflects her commitment to creating inclusive, wellness-focused environments that are rooted in evidence-based research. Anne attained her EDAC-certification in 2021.
As a firm believer in mentorship, Anne also leads Diamond Schmitt’s Interns Group, supporting aspiring intern architects through the OAA Internship Architecture Program.
