Stephanie Huss studied architecture at McGill University in Montreal where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture. Since joining Diamond Schmitt in 2013, Stephanie has distinguished herself as an invaluable team member across multiple performing arts and educational projects. Her planning, detailing and leadership experience is drawn from such notable projects as David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Centre, Memorial Hall at Marlborough College UK, Buddy Holly Hall in Lubbock, Texas, Laurentian University Campus Modernization in Sudbury, and Parkside Student Residence in Toronto.
Designing for performing arts groups and educators has influenced Stephanie’s approach to planning and project management. Inspired by their visionary ideals, she employs a design methodology based on optioneering and client feedback to create spaces that promote inclusivity, creative expression, and critical thinking. Stephanie’s strengths as an architect are built on a foundation of astute observation, focused listening, and concise communication.
Stephanie is also a coordinator and facilitator for weekly office design meetings that support the culture of open dialogue and design excellence at Diamond Schmitt.
